General Warfare

Water is a very changeable element in war but the world didn’t realize that until the invention of the submarine. In the war of 1812, they only could use boats to glide across the top of the water instead of moving swimmingly through the middle.

Yet water was not the only element applied in this war. There were many battles on land as well as on water. There were battles with columns of soldiers lining up, men running around in circles without a clue or very skilled warriors hiding in the trees. There was something new seen during this war, called guerilla warfare.

In 1812 there were plenty of battle styles and heroes. Yet which is more heroic land or water? We’ll let you decide.
